A transitional community to help homeless veterans "get back on their feet" again! Consists of twenty-nine tiny-homes, a laundry center and a community center. It is designed to create a community environment where veterans suffering from homeless can reside, gather, and receive health services, education, and job training so they can return as independent productive members of society.

THE DIFFERENCE

Veterans Village IS NOT a homeless shelter! It is a programmed environment. By addressing the needs of veterans suffering from homelessness, this transitional program, combined with the educational and job training opportunities made available, gives the veterans the hand up they deserve, to help them transition from homelessness into the local community as productive members of society.

The goal of Veterans Village is to turn the lives of veterans experiencing homelessness around, both immediately and for the long term. It is not intended to simply provide a roof over the heads of veterans suffering from homelessness; but rather, it is to address the many factors that led the veteran to become homeless, to help them heal and to provide them with the skills necessary to reintegrate into society. To learn and grow as individuals. Simply put, Golden Isles Veterans Village is designed to provide healing and support to those who have given so much to this great country.

THE VILLAGE

It is a safe community with 29 tiny homes, a Laundry Center, and a Community Center.

Veterans Village is designed with the intent of creating a community environment. A place where veterans suffering from homelessness can live and bond in a secure community. The Village is equipped with all of the facilities and services required to transform homeless Veterans into productive independent members of society.

Golden Isles Veterans Village addresses the complex factors associated with veteran homelessness and recognizes that military occupations and training do not always transfer to the civilian workforce.

THE COMMUNITY CENTER

The Community Center is the heart of the Village. It's the place where all the steps required to go from homeless to independence are presented to the resident veterans.
